i was once asked by my boss (and older brother) to go and give that conifer a quick tickle....half a hour later he reapered to see if id finished to find me stood at the bottom of the tree actual tickling it....

If a bit more effort is needed we say (Give it ere - Av it- gercher_bugger )

Twisted branches are referd to as (cuckooed up)

A heaverly pollarded tree is a (hat rack or coat stand)

Dumpy -tracked dumper

Splitty -log splitter

Old Tug -landy

Claire -ms460 (don't ask:blushing:)

Expendable objects -clients fence/bedding plants/shrubs/old tug

Strap on -webbing strap, best shouted down as 'put us big strapon't line' or 'ill av big strapon please'

My 8 yr old christenened the chipper 'Blake', cos its a Bearcat and has a picture of sommat like a Tiger on it.

Always call alders 'Larrys' as in Larry Adler. Suppose we should really call em Alans!

 

Oh and of course, its either "pass the Brian" or "pass Immanuel" when i want the cant hook.

If someone leaves stubs and have not cut back to points we say that peggy mitchell has been up there or if a tree has been butchered well old frank butcher must have been up there. For some reason we call the valtra 3600 snoopy, think its the nose?
