ArbTalk CENSORSHIP?

Censorship is the deliberate supression of truth or opinion. Surely this is a case of the removal of a post(s) that contain unsubstantiated allegations that are quite serious, as such it should be removed as the allegations cast serious doubts about the integrety of an individual.

It is a bit rich that someone who uses his own publication to not only promote his own products and those of associated companies and then uses the same publication to attempt to damage the reputation of others should whine about censorship.

Debate should be encouraged and indeed supported by this and any other forum - but this is reckless mudslinging of an unpleasant nature

Well said!

courtesy of wikipedia: "Censorship is the suppression of speech or deletion of communicative material which may be considered objectionable, harmful or sensitive, as determined by a censor. The rationale for censorship is different for various types of data censored. Censorship is the act or practice of removing material from things we encounter every day on the grounds that it is obscene, vulgar, and/or highly objectionable. Whether it is on TV, in music, books, or on the Internet, censorship is an inescapable part of human society."

So yes in a way I'm sure all manners of publication censor what is or is not included. And I didnt point the finger at any one publication.

Then strange you should resort to the same 'mudslinging of an unpleasant nature'.

Surely publications are there to inform readers of various company products, so why would you use someone elses tools when you can support and use your own.

True journalism is what our industry publications have been lacking, its not all about the glossy pictures and sometimes you might not like what you read.

Welcome Treegirly.

But they are using their "tools" to bitch. Bitching and point scoring is best done behind closed doors.

I'm sure the members area would welcome them to bitch as much as they like. :001_smile:
