I'm certain I heard a quiet snigger just after the branch hit me on the head....

A trick that i've tried a couple of times (especially on noisy sites or when the chipper is running) is to give a couple of blasts on a bo'sun's whistle. unbelieveably loud plus you can create different tones and patterns with it so as to avoid confusion with an emergency whistle! Saves your voice a treat!!

Headache, although it's usually not necessary because as soon as my guys hear the saw start they are scattering.

That's the purpose of this thread. Here in the states, we've come accustomed to calling out "Headache!"

 

I was just interested if this was merely a regional / North Eastern thing or nationwide...

 

As I've found, our counterparts in the West have their own language....
