For buildings obviously, but we are taking about the chances of a person being stuck

I knew what you meant, hence the raspberry!

 

what your implying (I assume) is that we can smash and grab a psuedo defective tree because we CAN do something about the minimal risks, as apposed to be able to do squatt about a lightning rod taking us out in a random act of bad luck.

 

if your all so concerned by risks in life why drive? why fly? why in fact get out of bed in the morning.

If there is a tree that would take out my house and possible kill a member of my family, I may decide its better to remove the tree, even if the chances are very slight.

 

Any defect in the tree increases that risk.

 

Personally I am more interested in the planting of new trees in suitable areas than trying to retain trees in poor condition and in the wrong place.

firstly the tree were all refering to was not strictly "defective"

 

secondly the risk from your tree is a mere drop in an ocean compared to letting your wife and kids get in a car on the school run.
