Taking bets on getting my back door kicked in

I need 200m of Yew hedging and want the hedge to establish quickly.

Rather than buy them at around 60cm and spend a fortune, I have already taken loads of cuttings and started growing my own.

To speed the process and get them big quick I am going to set up some hydroponic lighting in a wagon body I have outside and have them on 18 hours on 6 hours off all through the next summer and winter.

To save the helicoptor spotting a heat source and getting my door kicked in, I may invite plod to inspect my setup, that said, I bet I still get regular visits

and if you stick to your story there aint a court in this land who'd try you. youve got me convinced already!!

out of interest dean how are the yew cuttings doing? i remember you starting them, what sort of % took and survived?

About 80% took Dave, good result. :thumbup1:

I did take some more cuttings and put them in little pots but they all look to have died back. I think the problem was leaving them outside and the pot drainage wasn't too good.

So the idea is to create the perfect habitat for them. If it works well I will carry on growing them to sell
