its not very arb but...if you are lopping a pop in half, why worry about a few spike marks? i normally get the longest set of ladders that i have to get me up there, then i spike the b....ards.

Were not lopping it in half thou bil just a small reduction on the ends to releive the end weight for when the centeral stem is removed to stop the lever arm effect. I dont climb with spikes unless on a TD.

can get nice shapes on them, easy for boshing back to healthy internal growth. thats if theres a good landing zone. did one with highscale a few years back. only a small garden to work into. good fun, just took our time and sent everything through the centre of the crown. avoid if you can, working in tem in winds, most infuriating:)

got the job done at last..what a nightmare job. bad access , under quoted it and not a lot of room to drop limbs...but finnished it photos to follow...

the photos...the stream at the back was what we had to pull the dropped limbs out off..it stunk. fourth photo is the end product, hazard abated by removing the wind load on the branch pull out stem.Glad its done thou.
