I was getting phone calls Christmas Eve afternoon from people wanting logs for Christmas Day :confused1:

We played the game that way the first year we started. Now 3 days before christmas its nets for collection at the gate only no deliveries. You can understand people not ordering in July but Christmas eve I wont even go there.

The phone calls follow the temperature ie 8 deg no calls 0 deg lots -3 deg rings of the hook.

Likewise Xmas was mad, especially Xmas Eve (my first year so i was soft enough to deliver). It went really quiet start of Jan, but picked up last week, I reckon some of that is temperature and some folk now have been paid!! Kindling sales went through the roof at Xmas, but a lot of places i supply sell Xmas trees, so i reckon that was due to people having their annual fire for Xmas to go with their real Xmas tree! Logs picked up this week especially bulk orders, kindling quiet! Good thread :)

Logs started to pick up again last week and steady away now, only real surprise is some of my regulars have finally got the idea. They are placing orders now for me to come and fill their newly bought/expanded wood sheds in May and June. Happy days.
