Tree Sizes

Do you not have all the lectures put up on the internet these days on your colleges equivelent of studynet?

Anyway in at attempt to procrastinate from my own work i've had a look at the BTCV tree planting and aftercare book. Not totally useful but has some stuff on planting survival rates and different methods of container growth. Also some stuff on cuttings. Its no longer avaiable free from BTCV so you'll either have to go to the libary or buy a copy. To be honest the woodlands and tree planting books are well worth having in any tree persons libary.

Are college is lacking in that part studynet type thing..I've got a small libary going about 10 books spent most the browsing thought them but they did not have what i needed but with your help and the others i've been able to fill the gaps

go to the libary abd look up in the bs3932 part 1 i think is the number very usful descriptions and tabels there.

also you will need to look at bs4043 bit out of date but stil lcurrent.

keith at barchaams is driving a new standard forwads so trawl there site incase there is moor info on there

also a good referance is the hardy nursary stock manuel.

as for pre planting handeling JCLI replaced CPSE but their info is sadley lacking, if you can find a copy of the old cspe plant supply and establishment guide that is quite usful,

hope htta lot helps.

cheers

PS i cover all this stuff on my ao1 planting training
