I am not sure as there will be less air circulation than in a heap.

 

 

Did an experiment last year Tom, it goes moldy as hell. Priced some net sided bulk bags but they were £6.50 each

Ouch. Are they uv stable? if you could use them again and again maybe not so bad.

What I do is load the bag on the landy, push it over on it's side so the bottom is facing the back of the truck and tip it out, it then lands right way up logs neatly in the bag.

 

The bag nearly always gets damaged, but you don't want to be hand balling it out of the bags or relying on customers bring the bags back.

 

They did look a bit fragile to me

Bags made out of cargo net would be ideal.

i use those vented bags and they are bigger than the one ton bags but they work really well.

got 150 of them and worth every penny.

 

nothing dries in the bulkbags

 

i always tip the bags into the truck so the customer never sees them as i know i will never get them back,

 

if you got a fork truck they can be emptied by using the hooks at the base

they are surprisingly strong, been using them for 2 years now and only wasted one, but some do have holes in them and they dont carry on ripping either.

 

phone 'Bag Supplies' in Cumbria and ask for a sample one. but if you want to but they come in bales of 20 +vat + delivery

I asked for a sample and never received one.

 

I wanted them to stack my wood so it was harder to nick, I'm having quite a problem at the mo with people nicking my wood.

 

If you bagged it as you did it them stack ontop of each other it makes it harder.

 

Probably just slash the bag then with a knife

I got mine from the spot in Penrith (Cumbria). They hold about 1 cubic metre and are tagged as multi trip. Haven't had them as long as Firewoodman but haven't bust one yet. One thing I'd recommend if you're using a forklift to shift them is to get them with side sleeve no loops, easier to stack (could even get rid of the pallet in between?).Not sure it's possble but worth an ask as they do custom openings etc for solid bulk bags.

 

I stack them in a long stack (2 wide at the base with the upper layer offset by 1/2 a bag to one side) on pallet base and divider between layer.

I doubt it stop them getting nicked, unless you get some with a metal mesh weave, and add them to the container circuit!
