Does anyone know where i can buy one ? looked through all the usuall ,treeworker ,honey brothers ,buxtons etc etc ,but no joy . I would like a self locking if possible

You haven't given any SWL requirements or price limits.

You could start off by looking at Young's chandlers (Lewmar 72mm Synchro Fiddle Block)

Have a look under the rigging pulleys on our site we do them it's called the rescue hauler and used with the double pulley. It's the one that where used in the demos at the Aa show and our show. If you need to know more give me a bell.

You will need to order the following items:

2 x RP064 ISC Pulleys

4 x KH219SS1 ISC Steel Karabiner

1 x 50cm Yale Prussik

1 x 65cm Yale Prussik

1 x 25m Yale XTC Rope

1 x Stein Rope Bag

This new one on ebay looks like one end of what you need,look at his other items for the other end, there are a few second hand options too if you look around:

 

* BARTON BLOCK SIZE 6 FIDDLE BKT CAMS SHACKLE - BOATS on eBay (end time 11-Feb-11 12:30:14 GMT)

 

Also try phoning these guys and ask for a heavy duty mainsheet block with a jammer http://www.chandlerybarge.co.uk/
