i think the 272 was the start of the new range,the 61 was more semi pro (farmer range) i think,if wrong someone will be along soon to burst my bubble.

272 is the big brother in a large family originated from the 162.

162, 61, 66, 266, 268, 272

I was using a 162 in 1982 and it was second hand then. you could buy a new 266 then also and in 1987 i had a 268xp and in between i had loads of 154's 254's,266's and a couple of 61's and a 370 jonhsered
