Have just bougt a Grillon - realsied though that it has no onnectors. Can fit a standard karabiner on the gri side but the spliced eye with palstic protection is too small for this. What should I be looking at on this side? An 8mm biner or something. Spose it would be okay to slide off the plastic cover and use a standard biner?

If you use one, how is your Grillon set up?

Cheers.

Dave.

Hi Dave, I use a Petzl oval in the other end of the Grillon rope. The plastic cap over the sewn eye should 'give' enough to allow a normal sized krab to be forced through it.

yer 3 way crab, but I use a green colured one on the plastic end and a red coloured one on the grillion end. Just a little safety system for moi, I use it on my climbing line as well. Red never gets moved once attached, green is the one thats always unclipped.
