If was you jon i would go for the 390t ,they hold there money better than most of the massy tractors ,the 290 is getting on a little and the 399 is good but its not a 390t as they say ,you must ask ,do you need a loader if so then have one

i know this is not the thread but i had a 690t cracking tractor but french made (cabs had alot of rot so beware:001_smile:)

the 399 still well sought after more than the 390T the difference ; 399 six cylinder therefore longer than the 390T (4 cyl turbo) more manouverable , best 6 cyl tractor of that era Case IH 956 ( cummings engine)
