I wish it was the head gasket. I ve done less than 200 hrs on it had it serviced 3 times since purchase. Had a re cored rad a few months ago.

It has marks on the bores and cylinders so not good.

Oh sry to hear that.

Hope you can claw back a decent amount of cash.:thumbup1:

Have you considered rebuilding the engine, it only might need a rebore and oversize pistons/rings.

Could it get away with the judicious use of a "glaze buster"?

Don t know how effective long term this is what sort of cost would it be.

Could be worth a shot.

Cooked a small perkins diesel due to block fins on rad:blushing:

Bore did looked scratched but I managed to hone it out ok. New pistons, rings and some big end bearings(they were fine but changed them anyway.

Ran/runs great, cost around £400 iirc.:thumbup1:

If people are interested then I think Its only fair to make me an offer. You ll know what its worth to you and I can see if its worth that for me. My local dealer who sold it has already made me an offer.

So you want us to not just buy it, but sell it to???:sneaky2:

Surely selling its your job, you must know how much you are after.:001_smile:

Hi Guys

I have decided to keep it and put a new engine in. Have made serious amount of phone calls and looked at varoius replacement chippers but decided to stick with. Many thanks to all nine people(all within minutes of posting) who put some serious offers on the table.

Thanks
