How many saws do you have??

A little under 1000.

All carefully listed and dokumented as best I can.

 

In collection I think there is about 650. It is hard to draw a line to what part of collection it is. Parts I need or saw in collection...

Do most of them run or are some just for spares

I am just a small fish in the pond.

 

I try to have all complete. Some I just must try and hear others I am afraid to mess up so they sit and look beautiful.

For anyone who is vaguely interested, here are the pics of the 070. Told you it is mint:001_smile: Too good to bolt to the mill really.

 

The twin engined sthil mill looks like it will work but a little too large for my needs, will probably get a 36" Alaskan instead. Anyone used a twin engined mill? Comments would be appreciated incase I am making a mistake by geting rid of it.

i thougth i would see if members could post some pic of there old saws and what the oldest saw u have in ur colection is that u still run every now and again.

i want to get my hands on a vintage saw iv bin looking on ebay for a while and i reckon i would like a stihl 070,076,075 or a danarm 125.

i just want something to play with

i was just wonderin if u could post pics of ur Vintage chainsaws to help me see what saws are about

and the other thing is do u still run old saws on 50-1 2stroke mix

That mill looks a bit cumbersome with another saw head on aswell, compared to an alaskan of the same size, you could still keep the 070 buy a normal bar and use it on the alaskan?

This is it a stihl 024 that im rebuilding it was my dads it got carbon run through it about 1991 and messed the engine up scored the bore quit bad thought i would post the pic mainly for josh as he asks about how im getting on with it
