I was thinking of getting one of these things but there are loads about with a huge variety in prices from 40 quid on ebay to 700 quid for a genuine mitsi one.

ive got a 2006 di d model which is still a lot better than my old mitsi which i did get chipped but about 6 mnths later the head gasket went so i flogged it quick, i still blame the chip but that was years ago now. I just get a bit fed up with that lag between putting your foot down and actually moving any faster.

Are they any better now?

what make?

Is a re map any better? not that i know what that is, just what ive heard.

I'm pretty certain that a remap is more involved its not just plug and play so to speak ! My mate had his td5 done he had to take to a place with all the proper kit eg a rolling road. They put it on the rolling road and check all the parameters of what the ecu is doing and then they "remap" the ecu to get the best out of it. Hope this helps:001_smile:

Why do you want it to go quicker ?

so tho's yellow box's flash at you make you feel like your famous + to race other drivers so they can say why my one dont go like that lol

I got my 2006 mitsi chipped with the genuine one from new , i cant fault it loads of power 30+ mpg loaded or empty and will give a few cars a good run

It gets used and abused lots of sideways motion and carries the legal limit of logs in all year round
