seem a hell of a lot for a used and old saw, as a matter of intrest how would one compare to a new 346xp??? as thats what iam thinking of getting to replace my 254( maybe il polish it up stick it on ebay and retire!!)

i have both models and pick up the 346 most of the time!

i think the 346 is one,if not the best saw husqvarna have made!

thats just my personal opinion :thumbup1:

So they should have put them back on for sale since it was "such an immaculate saw"...

Personally hate not having the dogs - esp when ringing...

For me, dogs are great for cross-cutting. But for felling/snedding/brashing they come right off, just think that they get in the way.

Never put them on my 346, but I have the in the toolbox just in case.

I was watching that too but wouldn't risk it - could easily have been new bodywork and crap engine...

For starters, where are the felling dogs? If it's in such good condition why are they missing???

Dogs were not fitted from factory and as said a fair few dont like them

If anyone wants some 254 dogs let me know:thumbup:

If you have a lad that fails to keep his saw sharp take them off He'll soon start keeping it sharp then :sneaky2:

:laugh1: Sounds like a good plan.

I just remember they snapped off the 46 one day, wasnt impressed.

Perhaps I need to brush up on my sharpening skills though.:blushing:
