Hitch cord

i was swarmed by wasps monday, got stung about 20 times 50ft up......as you can imagine i made an exceptionally fast descent. I was using a piece of armor prus that i had been climbing on for the past 2 weeks. When i inspected it there was no glazing on it, even though i was expecting it to have been totally burnt out.

Thats gotta hurt Steve!

I used the armor-prus in the work climb at Myerscough, and I came out of the tree very quickly indeed with minimal glazing. I think it was because I opened the vt right up, there was actually no contact between the cord and the rope, and rather than descending on the hitch I was really sort of free falling!

been using the armor pruss for a couple of weeks now and it seems to be doing the trick. before that i was on the ocean poly and the armor pruss would be my choice every time.

ouch steve the wasps things is painful. i was once cutting back a tree that was growing out of a cliff at about 60 feet. tied into the tree and was just trampling around on the ivy covered cliff and I kept getting spiked. So took the saw to a few thistels and a hawthorn. Still getting tagged. looked down and I was trampling on a wasps nest and they got me about 18 times. In between my harness and in vest. Things is I had never been stung before so was a bit worried I may have anaphalactic shock or something. All the guy I was working for could say was to keep working and stop the bad language as one of the customers windows was open...
