Tree surveyors required

Acorn Tree Consultants, part of the Acorn Environmental Management Group, require 3 qualified tree surveyors for a Highway tree survey to commence in January in the West Midlands.

 

If you have the following skills and qualifications I would like to hear from you:

Essential:

- a recognised Arboricultural qualification, minimum level 2

- a clean driving license

- good tree identification skills

- a working knowledge of visual tree assessment

 

Desirable:

- at least 2 years arboricultural experience

- experience of using handheld data capture devices

- previous experience of highway tree surveying

 

These posts are initially short-term for 12 weeks but may be extended.

 

Competitive rates of pay based on a per tree basis.

 

Interviews will be held in early January for a prompt start soon after.

How important are these highlighted aspects?

The first is essential and the second desirable!

 

In other words we will consider people with no previous highway surveying experience, but we can only consider people with a recognised Arboricultural qualification. I'm afraid it has to be this way due to the contract specification.

For some reason i had it in mind that PTI was level 3...Ill rephrase that ...that a level 3 qual is regarded as the pre-requisite for successful completeion of the the PTI....I could be wrong but Gibbon is right in that it is not recognised.....well. Ill rephrase that too. It has no recognised status from ABC or educational boards. I also believe that the PTI is required repeated after 3 years....

Anyone care to clarify the situation?
