Forgive my ignorance, but what is an ipad for? is it a big phone or a small laptop? or both?

i think its possibly more of a big phone than a laptop! but seems to be more than capable of doing simple tasks like browsing the web etc

Its an expensive gimmick that those nobs at appkle have come up with to fleece more hard earned punds out of the general public. My mat egave one to his girl for her birthday.....the screen was smashed within a fortnight.

You can just imagine the board room meeting when that idea was thought up.......'well we've got these old laptop screens that we cant do anything with, and we need to direct attention away from the recent problems that the iphone is having.....I know, lets make another overpriced gimmick that those who have been taken in by our bull for the last decade will want to rush out and buy and make us even more money'
