but still have no idea what the portawrap plays in this!!

 

The climber can set the tension of the zipline from the tree. After a piece is lowered he can unlock the portawrap to create enough slack to move the system down the stem and then re-tension.

Could be something to do with the immense weight of palm stem blocks, or the fact it is far easier to bore into and down the stem cutting with the fibres, as 'cross cutting' palm normally is much harder due to the fibres tightening and pinching the saw. :thumbup1:

 

Also palm oil rots the metallic parts on the saw, so a proper clean with pertol solution after each takedown! :thumbdown:

 

intresting, dont no ote bout plam trees. sounds like your a fan of working with them :thumbup1:
