Help needed designing a machine

I don’t see why you have a problem using your processor without the splitter if you loaded 4 to 6 trusses on at a time, after all its not to hard to stack them vertically so they take up most of the width of the feed or to add a fixed packer to stop them moving about or to add a support to take any extra length that overhangs the feed.

I am using the processor at the moment and it works well the accuracy of the stop is a bit poor and you always end up with an offcut about a ft long. We are trying to think of a way of clamping several pieces together as it would be nice to use the 30x30mm stuff as well. The chain bar leaves a rough edge and wastes about 8mm of timber which equates to about 3 % over a 3mm tct blade. I dont want to spend 3k on another machine but if I can cobble something together for £500 and see some profit it could help towards something purpose made in the future.

I see that saw bench a few months ago. I did buy the biggest mitre saw dewalt made with 305mm blade. The saw dust pours out the front and straight up your hooter.

I too have that little einhell log saw. it is a good little tool but cutting capacity is only about 4.5 ". ok for small logs and pallet wood.

however they do two bigger versions:

Einhell Gruppe | Einhell Group

(click on woodworking tools then find log saws in the list)

not sure what size your trusses are.

if it were me i would buy one of these, position near kindlett infeed and chop away. it would be quicker than the hakki.

i presume you would use your conveyor to move cuts from saw to kindlet?

I have got a couple of radial arm saws which are ideal I will try and get some pics. The efficency I am looking for I think will come from a 3metre powered conveyor because at the moment you have to lift a full 80 litre dustbin of off cuts above your head 30 times in an hour. I need to buy a cheap powered conveyor such as a miniveyor.
