Spent friday night helping to install the xmas tree at somerset house in London...something we do every year. Far too early for my liking but there you go..they like to have it up and fressed ready for the ice rink opening next week.

Spent 5 hours there. Made one cut with the saw....just to level the base.......and that was it!! Time and a half thank you very much and free skating for the family.....oh and free gigs through out next year....woo hoo.

cool set of pictures there!

does someone have to climb up the tree to unattatch the crane's strop sean?

Mewp...... and then they use the mewp to dress it......last year they had us drilling holes in the stem and then poking branches into them to fill the gaps......mad!

Nice setting. What height is this one?

We've already put two up this year in our parliment buildings at Stormont. A bit of an odd one though - we put them up on the first Wednesday in November and took them down two days later - they were only there to film a BBC Christmas special concert.

It was only around 40ft.
