hiya guys , i have recently been wondering if biomas would have a place in domestic heating . Would it be possible or viable to burn biomas in wood burners , or possibly be used to vary coal-biomas ??

Has anyone tried this? or do you think that it is a non starter ?:confused1:

do you mean woodchip? :confused1: if so lots of householders are doing it, ideally you need a lot of room for storage and vehicle access as deliveries are bulky and loading into a large hopper isnt as easy as say a diesel tanker turning up and running a hose, chip doesnt flow down a pipe.:laugh1:

Do not put chip on an wood burning stove!!!!

You could blow up your stove and burn down your house!!!

intresting , how does that happen exess heat ? ,been on gas i dont get the plesure of logs any more

If you put chip on and it crusts over, burning underneath, the area above the chip can fill with gas (from the heated chip) if a spark then makes its way through the chip...........................BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
