Yeah but they only extend to 21m this tree is taller than that (25.2m according to the clinometer). The 6t lift at zero extension is good but imo they would of ended up costing me money by not being suitable for the job.

You can get 25t and 30t city cranes that as same width as transit they will extend further than 21 meters and lift more than you mentioned, plus some are all terrain aswell so you could park it right up as close as you wanted to the tree since you drove your truck next to it with chipper where theres a will theres a way.

Theres an even bigger problem the tight access might fit a bigger city crane but this is where the gate is (yellow) and this is where the tree is (red) note the distance in the bottom right plus the loader would only be able to get to the yellow mark as there is not much room to turn around. I've done my homework on the site and i had to accept its a pain of a job.

Good Evening, heavy reduction on this Silver Birch today. Customer want 50% off! They had just had solar panels put on roof, but didn't want to loose the tree. Told them it wouldn't be pretty, but I don't think it turned out as bad as I originally thought.

Open to criticism!

Cheers, Simon.
