Very dead crack willow today. Persuaded the customer to keep the mono as a favour to David Humphries, and the birds and beasties of this planet. And I'd left the 660 at home. They drew the line at coros! Damn them!!

Perfection

A job from Liverpool docks this morning. On site for 7am. Off site at 9.30am. 6 alders. All came down well with rate-my-hinge thread worthy hinges

No I did not drive home with a truck that full. I needed some room for kit so we left some in a flowerbed :)

how long does it take you to fork all that chip off ? that would do me in ,you need a tipper mate, tree work is hard enough ,as you run the chipper from a tractor could you not tow a tipping trailer behind your pick up ?

take about a 1/3rd of that off in the pic, we left some on site, but what was left took about 15 minutes including resting, its not too bad, although i am now thinking of converting it into a tipper.

It looks like most of the chip misses the pickup from that pic

The chute of the chipper was at the same level as the roof of the chip box. Some bits went over the top, others bounced off the crossbeam and when full bits were bouncing back out. There was a lot on the floor!

Euc from today. Been pruned badly on the car park side so was very bushy on that side and bare on the other. Quite a few branches were dead so took them out too. Biggest tree I've reduced so far. 6 hours of climbing. I'm pleased with the result.
