The landlord wants the tree out cos its cracking the garden wall and drive, and they say its damaging the house. The neighbours say its not damaging the house, and that the work on the garden wont be done for at least a year, possibly 3-5, and that the tree should stay till then.

The landlord had another contractor in, and the job never got started because the neighbours wouldnt let him start the job. The landlord then got us in, without bothering to explain all this. We turn up, obviously the same thing happens, we have to pull off the job, client gets a bill for wasting our time!

Quite what the next step is, i dont know, but that tree is definatley doomed!

Thanks, although I'm not sure its legal nowdays!

One of the few truly peaceful experiences in this job. That and driving home I suppose.

true........i remember the first time i went up on the ball the operator took me to max height first thing in about 5 seconds...scared the crap out of me for a minute but then made the rest of the job was easy as there was nothing to be scared of!.

the last crane job i did the operator said it was ok but i had to use a sling with a karibiner as i could not anchor straight off the ball hook.sure thats not legal either but who cares its good fun!
