there was no need bob, as the trimmings were falling into the back of the truck, and i was on the levers and driving, so i just swept and blew between driving. you know i would of done it the best possible way

I beg to differ. My scaffold tower on wheels could have been pushed down the side of that hedge and the guy pushing could have swept and blown in between. 1 less member of staff, no diesel used, jobs a good-un.:thumbup1:

we were discussing the best use of labour and kit that i was using on the day, and do you think any of the above costs came out of my profit?

Ermmmm....................???? Doesn't less cost equal more profit??????:001_tt2:

if the job was 600 quid and my profit was 500 quid.

it is still more than if the job was 400 quid and the profit was 200 quid.

how much would you charge for 2 men, your scaffold and and removal of 5 big bags of waste?

Posted

2 men @ £30 cash in hand each

Scaffold @ F.O.C

5 big bags of waste tipped on farmers muck heap @ F.O.C

Diesel & 2-stroke approx £20

Cost = £80

Job = £600

Profit =£520:thumbup:

Plus the scaffold gets hired out every other day to any tom, dick, or harry, and has zero maintenance costs. Best member of staff ever.
