SPIKEY FENCE!!well dome mate, those big mature ashes can be tricky, never a nice straight anchor in the middle, always getting pulled to the side. nice truck and hiab too.

VERY SPIKEY!!! haha. Like you say no centre to the tree but wasn't too bad....unfortunatly the truck and hiab aren't ours, they belong to the LA who we did the job for.

i have been playing on this banking for 2 days, i have the sycamores to do tomorrow. day 1 was dead elms and young sapplings and a lift on a big twin sycamore, today was ivy infester dead elms, 3 had fallen over years ago and were jammed up in the back. new chippers first day out. totally awesome, the winch is amazing on jobs like this:thumbup:

the new red boots are totally amazing on this type of work, the grip is amazing, and all you need to do is get your toes in a bit and up you go, they werent so great up the sycamore, quite slippy and hard. i would rather eltons for climbing in an open canopy. the mog as a single unit was great, its hard to see but even where the chipper is sitting is really steep, i had to borrow my mates navara to shift the chipper, so that is a pest, and if the chip had to come off site then i couldnt of managed it, i get my new truck in a few weeks so it will be all go again.
