the money just wasnt in the job to pay for it(200),the spec was mainly to make safe as the la was worried about the dead wood over the road,the customer didnt even really want the work done.but was doing it to stop the la's health annd safety issues

Can't remember if you have ever said whether or not you had created any in the past, John.

 

If not, maybe you could have created one on a smaller stem (5 min job) and then talked the client in to the aesthetical differences between the two types of finish.

And then speced for the rest at a later date, adding them to a portfolio for future clients to see.

Could have been a loss leader.

 

Even if this client didn't like what you could have created, you could have always re-flushed the coronet.

No real loss of time or effort. :wave:

very true,i never thought of that.the problem is because it was a small job(only 3 hours) by halfway through i was allredy thinking about the next tree of the day and getting tidied up as quick as possible

Been out conifer killing again! Not very fancy but i`m not proud- the money was Good! These were Larson, over 50 years old;

The customer came out with the old favourite when we finished "I cant believe how much extra light we`ve got in the back of the house now"!

Customer sent a couple of pics from Oak lift from power lines last week.

Had to reduce 4 plane trees this thurs and fri. 30% reduction, cut back from building by 4m, 2 climbers, 2 days and lots of sneezing and coughing.

 

The pics are an after shot as I forgot to take a before... :alberteinstein:
