thats pointless and a waste of time:151:

I thought you would like it, the old lady who's house is behind the tree was complaining about the conkers dropping in her garden, so, I discussed with the Deputy Tree Officer about fitting individual Cobra, like slings on each conker to prevent them free falling from the tree, the trouble with doing that, apart from the vast cost to the local population through increased poll tax duties, would be the actual interruption of the natural processes of the tree shedding it's conkers, I mean, it's meant to happen isn't it? What would/could the outcome be?

Its always amazed me the general hatred old people feel towards trees...i often wonder why it is....? I once lost it at a warden at an old peoples home when she handed me a petition sighned by all the residents to fell a ray woods ash that had just reached maturity,i was just admiring it imagining it would be real nice to sit under on a hot summers day...... glad i dont have to do council work any more.

Fairplay vduben. Its amazing how quick we can respond in times of peril. In this game intelligent reflexes are all that may stand between you and the earthworms. I'm sure we all can remember a dodge, duck or fingertip save that we did without time to think about it.

Of course the opposite may be say...catching a boiling kettle or swerving to miss a cat and hitting a wall!

i no what your saying matey, like all bad experiences - you learn quickly!!!!

just a thought, pete said to put my strop to my center d but i have a soft link on my micocender......... are the soft links as strong as the wire strop?? i think it would be sensible to put the first krabby that joins the microcender and soft link on to my d rather than he one on the opposite end of the soft link?????

put it this way if you are worried about the strength of your soft link i would begin to worry about the strength of your karabiners my soft link i use is rated at 22kn and the karabinbers are rated at 25kn and if i have done this right the yale wire core flipline is rated @ 2400kg maximum breaking strain which works out at about 2 400 kilogram-force = 23.535 96 kilonewton basically 24kn.....
