DMM Pinto versus Hitchclimber

isnt it like daisy chaining a crab, which you arent meant to do? surely something like a 8mm oval maillon in the middle of the pulley instead of the crab would be easier overall?

Yea to be honest Rob, i have my reservations about it too. It is not a system I use. I just put it up for the purpose of explaining whats going on. Picture/1000words... :thumbup1:

Yea a maillon would probably do the trick there. But whats the difference between krab to maillon and krab to krab. The only difference I see is that the maillon is a harder metal and therefore more likely to damage the krab which is softer metal. Plus it just adds more mass to the system, which is an attempt at streamlining.:confused1:

Perhaps the best thing to do is just use things for what they are designed for and dont try to mess about with stuff :sneaky2:

No that's not the setup at all. Sorry mate.

The pinto is longer in body so and has a load bearing end so allowing you to hook the krab onto the opposite end of the holes if you get my meaning.

Oh right I get you now. So you are clipping into the becket with the spliced end??

If by becket you mean the opposite end to the one with the holes then Yeah. Not may have been the PInto L that I saw this with. Not sure? It was in honey bros stand at APF. On a demo thing.

I think Im following you. But if you set it up like that Im struggling to see how its going to work much like a hitchclimber..:confused1: You need to get some pictures up for us!! Got me curious now!:thumbup1:

a good pic of the set up on the pinto thread, not sure how to link it with this dam phone:001_smile:'''

only just got my pinto so haven't had a go myself, looks like the hc setup but the top crab sits the other way, so it could mess with the hitch abit more

At first i thought that was Henry Rollins!!!

I liked that pinto set up with the vt very neat:thumbup:

I saw Henry Rollins live at the barrowlands in 91, he didn't get any abuse or anything thrown at him, despite part of his set being him just rocking backwards and forwards looking mean. I wouldn't have messed with him.
