When the grazed knuckles and crushed finger nails hit I usually do tend to swear a little. My wife insists swearing gains nothing and offends those who are close by. Am I wasting my breath or does an outburst really ease the pain? The only alternative I can think of is to cry, out loud of course. :confused1:

Tell your missus to wear ear defenders when she goes out in the street. Its all around us, even the wee kids are swearing nowadays. People oughtn't get so offended by words IMO.

Well tell them to do what You've just done to swear and see what they do Bet you they will swear aswell

 

People shoudent be so offended these days its the 21th century its only going to get worse in my books

i have a romainian student working for us , he has taught me how to swear in romainian, i know find my sen blaspheming in romainian, its great i can swear in front of my mum and get away with it

No. Not unless you fall for the lie that it really does. Personally I hate it, simply can't see how bad words (yes they're just that - bad) better anyone at all. I empathise that excruciating pain calls for some letting off of steam but by finding the worst language possible you are really looking for the biggest distraction possible. Tell you what, a hot woman walking by when you hurt yourself would ease the pain and shut you up!!!
