How much did you pay for CS30/31?

Just received a brochure form the college..It would be £820 with them. Is that OK? Lantra course would only be £500..I'm not getting how it works..

My 30/31 cost around 500, my 38 around 350.can't remember what my 32 and the others were. Seems a lot. What are they proving for that price?

CS30 maintain and operate chainsaw(NPTC)-2days

CS31 fell and process small trees (NPTC) - 3days

That's all I know...

Can't find any other training centres round here to compare the prices..

That's alot, mine was in the region of £600 including assessment.

argh it's too quick! I will be applying for funding and they might take anything up to 10 weeks with their decisions :argh:

It's also nearly 90 miles away from me...I wish we had prices like these in our area *D'oh*

I got my tickets as part of the college courses ive done, nch arb and nd arb. Got a good selection of tickets with that which im very greatfull for. Especially as the year after i left they had a big shake up and only provide 2 tickets, the rest you have to pay for yourself.

same i paid nothing best way got my cs 30,31, 38 all free and really reduced price on cs39 while i was still at college

I think my courses was round the 620 mark for 30/31 and 38 was a week including assessment was 600 and 39 was around the 350 mark .

 

The courses can very in price any were from 500 to 700 it depends on the provider even collages down in the south west are the same price as the private providers some places up and down the country can be a bit cheaper.

 

If you can get funding you will be very lucky and the places will be very limited and it will take ages . I think if you are long term unemployed you maybe get some help .

 

Most company's do like see the NPTC certs for anything with using chainsaws climbing ect.

Is that at Shuttleworth in Beds? Have you tried Caple Manor in Enfield, Oaklands College in St. Albans.

 

£820 quid seems steep closer to 600 would seem right.
