Any owners that can fill in a few of the unknowns?

I've got a 125 and I'm forever getting the blades sharpened as if there slightly dull it will struggle. Also blocks up loads easer than The 150s and drinks fuel compaird the the diesel ones. but it got me started and I would still recomend 1 to anyone starting up or on a budget.

576 rocks! Best saw I`ve ever had bar none. Great anti-vibe, nicely balanced. Use it with a 20" for bucking and a 15" for coppice work, it just flies!

i had a 125 before i got my 150. buy a decent 150 and be done with it, my 125 drank fuel and was a lot slower than the 150.

125 plenty fast enough for a 2 man team, keep it sharp. The fuel isn't that bad and you will get it places a 150 won't look at. We have both

The 125 is a good reliable machine,I have used one hard for 3 years no probs.You do need to keep the blades sharp,but you should on any machine if you want it to last,it isn't as fast as the larger machines,but it will earn you a living,and is very manouverable by hand.

Just watch out for scorched grass from the downward exhaust outlet,put a deflector on it.I find it reasonable on fuel to be honest,I can fill my 4 yard tipping body for about £3.

thanks guys. heard lots of mixed about the 576??? any feed back on the auto tune? is it effective?

 

with the tw125, what was it that blocked them up. is it volume of tight brash or 5" timber? I cut alot of wood out of jobs you see? got 12 6 stoves and 6 fires to feed and lots of friends that have diddy saws and bad backs that apprciates logs he doesn't have to split.

The 125 sounds ideal for you. I love mine. Good enough to overload my Transit in about 25 minutes! Admittedly with a bit more snedding time than for the 150, but with sharp blades it isn't that much slower.

 

Good tip about the exhaust.

 

At 575kgs I can push it around off the hitch on my own a lot easier than a 150, which makes a difference at the end of a big day.

exhaust scorching cheap solution is alloy stable shovel also great for chip shift in a hurry!

Like the shovel tip,thetw125 is a great little chipper,soaked leylandi can block it if you feed it too quick,but there are ways of avoiding this ,so its not the end of the world.

If you are saving all the logable stuff I think it would suit you fine.
