Wood Fest @ St Asaph.

Any bin or going to this event.

 

I went with a view to making an exhibit of meself.

 

It looked like a great family day out, fun fair, carving, mushrooms, old balls, horse logging, Axe men, climbers etc

 

But to be honest, not enough potential buyers to attract machinery exhibitors in numbers.

 

Fuelwood (splitters and processers)were there as was Phil Alderson (Haaki processors), Burgess' (flogging stihl and lawnmowers), Husky and a couple of others, John Paul Williams was there from ProArb showing his capabilities as a contractor. (Nice GreenMech 1928 safetrac JP!) But it's more of a day out for fun.

 

What gets buyers to shows to make exhibiters there to make a good event?

yer i went yesterday, to be fair its a good day out if your intrested in bits and bob's kinda stuff, but as for arb equipment and the likes, wasn't that impressed this year. something was lacking. Might go the AA fair, couldnt buy anything i wanted because there was no stalls selling equipment.

camped fri and sat.

great bar-b-que sat night,bar and music and big open fire,

wanted six way splitter for hakki pilke 37.but,

said hello to chris shep,fuelwood were there,good stand,easy to compare jappa and hakki machinery with andersons next door.

choppers were awsome,and the pole racers,well.

food/beer tents,turning tents,tat stalls,wood carving by golly...and the auction at 2pm,not much silly money,theres a recesion ??

but like ian said not enough arb stalls.

timber hauliers,merchants, got their phone nos.

bloody good day and 1/2.would / will go again if it fits in.if its ony for the barby.
