Well I wish you all the best with this one but as the others said it states suitable gloves so in effect they would have no grounds to sack you or anything else if you just refuse and say you are going to where gloves that are suitable for the job in hand . as there is nothing states they have to be Chainsaw gloves .

 

Sometimes you just need to stand up for yourself but in a clam way and say no . I find that by standing my ground and not getting ruffled even if they start to rant works a treat

no, it was a groundsaw and i think he hit a chainlink fence with the tip of the bar but must have not had a good grip on it. i didnt see it happen so i dont really know but it was a nice wound right on the back of the hand.

 

If that was the case then surely there could have bee nas much chance it could have gone either way a bit and had his fingers or arm -the way I understood it was that it was there for pre-chainbrake times too. Either way, I could never stand them (or any other glove) for any saw work so can only imagine how horrid they'd be to climb in.
