Husky are different from stihl, but oregon make bars/chains for both as far as I know, so swapping an oregon bar from husky to stihl won't work but that does not mean the oregon bars don't fit stihl.. If that make sense??

Personally I wouldnt swap bars from saw to saw, keep everything "good to go" in case of breakdowns etc. Oregon make bars and chains to fit Stihl, but they wont fit huskies and vice versa. Oregon chain will go on a Stihl bar, Stihl chain will go on an Oregon bar, just when ordering/buying you make sure you tell them what saw its for.

Sorry lads don't think I explained properly I'm not swapping bars around just I have huskys with Oregon bars and chains on apart from the new one, and stihls with stihl bars and chains on but just got Oregon bars for the stihl ground saws basically I'm gonna get a reel of Oregon chain and run them all on the same Chain and bars and don't want to throw away good bars until I change them all round if this all makes sense

yeah man as long as its the same pitch, gauge ect. it'll fit

:ditto:

The only difference really is how the bar mounts to the saw.

Oh and stihl bars are better since you don't have to grease the sprocket:thumbup1:

Had to be said:001_tongue:

Il give it a try tomorrow unless I find out different then

very unlikely to work i'm afraid mate. in the u.k husky saws are sold with 0.058" gauge bars and chain, and stihl saws are sold with 0.063" gauge bars and chain (40-90cc saws anyhoo)...

easiest option would probably be to get 0.063" gauge oregon bars for your huskys and use stihl chain on all your saws.
