ok cheers guys ill get them sharpened.

 

cheepest i coud get the equivalent greenmech was 2600+vat, and that was out of my budget.

 

saturn knives are selling new blades fo about 90£ a pair is that ok?

 

laslty how do i set the anvil gap? cheers for the helpful replies guys.

Where was that from? Was it the 14hp version of the cs100?

I'll try to remember to take a couple of pics if I get time tomorrow, cant find the paperwork at the minute, but the gap between anvil and blade should be 20thou/inch

Thats what I heard, on the JB's the blades have to be razor sharp

 

Correct they do. I've said it before; blunt JBs are as good as a coffee frother. Sharp ones pull and throw the chip good too...

 

Anvil gap as above or credit card when the drum / blade position is as close to the anvil as poss...
