When the woodland floor erupts

Was out with the boys pond dipping at a local common this morning.

 

Whilst keeping a watchful eye on the young budding ecologists, i took a wee look around the pond.

 

wasn't really out on the hunt, so to speak.

 

But tis the season, what what...........

 

Amanita muscari - Fly Agaric

Amanita rubescens - the Blusher

Russula claroflava & a pretty darn big un Id'd Bolete.

Leccinum carpini - Hornbeam Bolete

Laccaria amethystina - Amethyst deceiver

Amanita fulva - the Tawny Grisette

wicked post, loving the grissete in volva, awsome shot.

I bet the Lumix woulda picked out that fulva beter than the G11.

 

did you get out today?

 

 

Found something fruiting on the end of a part submerged log in the pond, can't get an Id on it yet, i'll post it up someplace in a while.
