Although I think that landies make the best arb trucks, having had series landies, I would have to agree with Chris here. To me they arent a really viable working vehicle, unless you are somone who loves the older kit and the issues with it anyway.

 

Yep - if budget wasn't an issue then defender for sure - £1000-£1500 on a defender (or early 90/110) usually = spending all you time fixing it.

 

you'd be doing very well to find a jimny for 1 1/2 k...they're holding money...

 

That's a good sign - SWMBO's thinking about upgrading to something better suited to long distance - anyone looking for a Jimny :biggrin:

 

panda 4x4.. great little beastie..

 

forgot about them - old or new they grip real well.

 

i'd get a 300tdi disco if i had that money to spend, they really will take the abuse, oh and the dogs love the electric windows in the back. not sure of the top speed as mines rolling on remoulds so not been over 110mph, thats about twice what my suzuki ever did.

 

110mph :scared1: I don't reckon my V8 would do much more than that - and that flies.

suzuki vitara van 1.9tdi go for about 1000. The parts are cheap advise is pleantifull. I have a 1.6 8v petrol and its been great. parts are cheap new. really easy to change any part i can even send you a copy of the service manual. I really really can't recomend these cars enough. any questions on them and I would be happy to help!

 

Just so you get an idea ones like this are quite common
