I have a few books already, but can anyone recommend the MUST have ones for these courses and general tree knowledge!

Tree/Fungi Ident, and bio-mech, hazard assesment etc.

Cheers

i found this fungi ident book great. not donr the certs but its a good simple book.

https://www.gustharts.com/Products/Arborist%20Equipment/Arborist%20Books/Product/Manual%20of%20Wood%20Decay%20in%20Trees/

This book is a very good begining into the subject of wood decay, it is basic and depending on how far youve already read it might be worth considering going up the list a little and getting

"fungal strategies of wood decay in trees" FWMR shwarze, engels and mattheck.

When youve got through this you might want to consider my current three readers, which are proving invaluable in the more advanced stuff.

Diagnosis and prognosis of the wood decay in urban trees Shwarze.

Tree diseases and disorders by heinz butin

and "wood and tree fungi, Biology, damage, protection and use. by Olaf shmidt

the three books above are really great, and im getting heaps out of them.

Dont forget lonsdales principles of hazzard assesment too, thats a must have on the list, if you havent started there!

dont forget to check out my amazon store Arboriculture books

If you want something thats not in there let me know and i can add it if its available

I've used the Arbazon Book Store a couple of times for tree ident. and landscaping books and it works brilliantly. I've already got an Amazon account set up, so once the books are added to my arbazon basket, when I click on the checkout, it takes me straight to my Amazon account for a quick and easy purchase. If the books are in stock, delivery is next day. There's a good selection of books in the Arbazon store and if there's something I want that's not there, I'll give you a shout Steve, to add it in. (To be honest, I'd rather buy from Arbazon and know that some funds are going back to Arbtalk to help fund site development etc, than straight to Amazon themselves) :)
