What sort of price would you quote for taking down and removing.

There is trees on 3 of the 4 sides although there around 70ft. private drive is on the 4th side.

I was thinking of hiring a 35m cherry picker.

I have heard from the my customer that lives next door that there has been a quote of £3600 already. Havent got a picture at the moment but ill get one tomorrow.

Can you get a crane up close to the tree?

That would be by far the quickest and cleanest way of removing it.

If you want an experienced subbie with his own crane truck to do it for you, give me a ring. My avatar pic is my truck, loaded up with 7 foot diameter redwood that I took down with a crane for another arbtalk member.

Cannot really get a onto the drive due to the entrance being rather tight and there are lime trees planted on the other side of the drive. So i dont think there would be the space for a crane, correct me if im wrong.

My reasoning behind a mewp was i was told it would be quicker by some retired tree surgeon.

I am open to surgestions on all of this as it will be the biggest tree ive done yet and advice is welcome
