A new guy has just started up in my area and is advertising to beat any genuine quote:001_rolleyes: So other firms are going to the trouble of pricing jobs up,a fair price for a fair days work and this guy i just knocking a bit off and getting the jobs without putting in the time and effort:thumbdown: Im tempted to put in £50 on a job worth ££££'s and then pass on his details

 

WHAT! that a bit out of order of the other company. its guys like that who make it impossible to make any money out of this job as you constantly have to trim the prices down.

How much work can he do??He cannot do it all.

 

He's probable not very good at the job any way or he would not need to advertise the way he is, so he will no doubt get very little repeat business.

 

If his advert does bring in loads of work, he will soon be booked up, meaning people will have to go else where, which is where you come in.

 

If you cut your price to match his, then he will just cut his further and you will both end up working for nothing.

 

I am often the cheapest price, but only because I have the equipment and work in a more efficient manner. So I do the job for less but make more profit than many of my competitors.
