What rope is this?

I received my Hitch climber from Nod yesterday and used it today. Great! I've got one problem in that the spliced eye on my XTC will not pass through the rope guide pulley mount, If i use the other end there are problems with the termination interfering with the Hitch, but I can retrieve the rope guide. I've noticed a lot of you guys are using these tiny spliced eyes. Any recommendations for my set up (which I think is pretty standard these days)

here is a hitch climber video, does anyone know what rope is being used?

thanks guys

The lime green rope looks like the new tachyon in a better colour.

To retrieve you could you not put a loop of throw-line at the end of your line- loop the retriever ball through that and retrieve it with the tail end. Otherwise put longer cord on the ball and clove-hitch it to the tail end. Hard to think of a solution with feeding the spliced eye through the pulley- sounds like you need to indulge in some more retail therapy :)

Maybe that's a bit of rubber on the eye keeping it compact? I thought it was a `micro eye' Its funny how you get stuck in methods and don't stop to think about if it's being done right; I always run my rope guide with the pulley to the left and the retrieval shackle to the right, with the ART sticker out. If i reverse this, of course I can retrieve with the tail. feel pretty stupid now. The old dogs new tricks adage is coming home to roost. The ball as it is will still work. As far as retail therapy is concerned, I'm employed and the commander in chief wont buy me the treemotion or a new bit of blaze. I'm still climbing on one of the very first butterflys!!

I have just given up on retrieval.

I only use it for take downs or in a situation where its not too much trouble to climb and retrieve.

Thats why I have a standard Cambium Saver on my AA shopping list.

They're good, but more thought should have gone into the retrieval.
