drill a hole in the plastic then use a cable ty to fix to the housing were the brockern bit should go simples ,been doing it for yrs

A new part is around £15.

 

Its easy enough to change but you need to give it all a good clean as ALOT of oil and crap gets in there and take a few picks as you dismantle so you can suss out were all the bits go.

 

Also knock the chain brake off ie take the energy out of the spring before you remove the white plastic cover.

 

OK I got it wrong there, put the chainbrake ON, this knocks the energy out of the spring. You will have to sort of partially put the brake off when you refit the plastic cover IIRC to get it to fit.
