Heras fencing

HOw do you get on with the saw bench with splitter built in?? Not great i'm presuming seeing you have hydrolic splitter next to it?

I rarely use the cone splitter on the Hakki Pilke Eagle. I bought it as a saw bench and just see the cone as a bit of a bonus when the log is just the right size to use it.

I have just bought a load of Heras fencing with the idea of forming cubes to put logs in to season. Has anyone tried this and if so do you find that the logs in the centre do dry? A four panel square will hold 25 cube so it seems a nice space saving handy method for seasoning.... I hope :confused1:

Hoe about rolling up one of the heras mesh sides (a knackered one will do) & sticking it vertically in the middle then stacking the logs around it? that way you'll have a central post to help with a cover and you'll also have a roughly 2 foot diameter cylinder shaped gap in the middle to help with ventilation and quicker drying time.

that's the one!

if you roll it just right you should be able to fit the little bugger in.

good point though...
