I have used the 220 a fair bit over the years, at least 5 different machines, and they are not a patch on the 19-28.

I would have though Greenmech would be bringing out a new 9 inch chipper in line with the rest of the range, ie letterbox feed etc.

I know they have just bought out a new version of the 19-28 with a few added extras and improvements, but it would be great to see the 19-28 remade as a slightly bigger machine, perhaps with a 100hp engine and 10 inch capacity

The shliesing's are supposed to be incredible machines, never used one, never seen one but I have also heard they are an incredible price too!

100 hps should be enough to drive a 10"x14" easily. Big heavy unit though for very rough terrain, wouldnt want to turn one over or get it stuck in a bog!

What about the Vermeer BC1400TX ? Best tracked machine anywhere apparently...

Brush Chippers - BC1400TX - Vermeer UK

Just been looking through the spec for that machine.... WOW.

The winch is a fantastic idea being top mounted instead of after market and the remote control is also a great idea, saving the operator from having to stand on the actual machine.

Such a shame it's not on variable tracks..

over 100fpm infeed though, quite impressive. :thumbup1:

True enough..

I have seen 35t excavators with big mulching heads and massive donkey engines working on incredibly boggy sites though... bogmaster tracks seem essential!

All depends what you want, a massive tree eating monster or a versatile all rounder.

All rounder needs to go on a 3.5 tonne trailer for starters, unless you run an hgv low loader trailer everywhere.

Monster tree eater, look across the pond at Conehead, Morbark, Bandit, Woodsman et al.......

Yep, all good chippers..

What i'm after is find the best all rounder... big tree eaters are fine but not versatile enough to work in oddball places.
