i want to buy some cheap climbing gear is this any good ? http://abacus-ise.co.uk/shop/petzl-navaho-p-412.html

I get worried when i hear those three words together: Cheap Climbing Gear! Keep in mind comfort and support. If you've gotta work in it week in week out you'll appreciate buying a harness that suits you rather than simply the cheapest.

Its such a subjective thing really...one mans meat is another mans poison! I really dont like the Petzl navaho. It is manufactured in a range of sizes which must tell you something about how adjustable it is. I couldnt even stand up straight in the thing...there are so many ( IMO better ) alternatives that what they say 'bout try B4 you buy is spot hot man....Cheap is not a good reason and I know!!

Looked at this one myself-how can they make CE approved gear so cheap- however it is Petzl so it will work-however make sure your happy with leg loops ( many people are not ) I ended up with Komet Butterfly ( legloop ) and have kept buying them ( LOLER98 - 4yrs on fabric items, then sling em :(

hi, I used a navaho for two years and it was all I could afford at the time.I prefered it to the crushed pelvis feeling when hanging, of the willans nappy, and as i was doing loads of pruning and street tree reductions, i found it good. After a while about 18 months I realised that due to the lack of back support my lower back was suffering and as soon as I changed to Tree magic it cleared up, now the tree magic is feeling a bit flimsy and I'm thinking ekn. Am I just getting cream crackered!

I think its down to what you prefer and total hard wear, which most tree kit goes through.......enjoy what you've got!:proud:
