VOSA Power to Stop

Apparently they catch "loads of landys on cherry"

We seem to be in a hot spot for roadside pull overs, but they only ever pull commercials.

Makes me feel like putting cherry in the Audi, just so the next time they pull me in the landy I will have something to smile about!:001_tt2:

Chances are if you were running a little 3-4 year old diesel clio going to work each day you'd never ever get stopped.

A landy or a van or tractor I'd say it was a lot more likely as we tend to have a genuine use for cherry and therefore come into contact with it. Having said that the place by me that used to sell it has stopped which is a pain.

working in newark the other day. just near a wood recycling plant.

filled my pikey bus ( ldv 400) to the rafters with horse chestnut chip.

empty of chip, but with tools and men it weighs 2400kg

over the bridge it was 5700kg :blushing:

and, yes, it was on the bump stops :thumbup:

but it was only 300yds on a private road

honest :lol::lol:

I'd say the reason for not stopping an LDV is exactly because it could be a pikey wagon and they simply don't do that.

There was an order a while back to all forces such as police and vosa etc NOT to pull 'travelling types' without VERY good reason after some gypos pulled a shooter and battered the cops. This has happened to a vosa inspector who tried to pull his weight with the 'wrong' lorry driver. These a ssholes will be their own undoing hopefully.
